This zine was created by a student-led diversity team in the Department of Graphic Communication and Typography at the University of Reading. This was the year this team was founded and decided that one way to start making a change creatively was by creating a zine. The aim of the zine was to spread diversity in the creative field, showcasing all the work students, graduates and working professionals were doing in 2018. It was praised by many individuals across the school and was also featured on the University's diversity blog, which led us to create a second issue the following year.
The process of creating a zine on this scale and learning about the production side of it was quite new to our team. However, the experience was incredibly beneficial and allowed us to reflect on this and we continued to improve the design/process each year.
